The beauty is in the eye of the beholder

In a museum

The series In a Museum was photographed in the Danubiana – Contemporary art museum in 2017. At the beginning, there was a harmless visit of the museum without any serious photography intentions. This visit was a trigger for the final pictures and it took almost 3 months to get the work done.

The main photograph With the head in the clouds depicts a woman left alone. The segments of the windows symbolize her living space. Prisoned by the boundaries, she is dreaming about somebody who left, somebody new to come to her life. But the bench, connecting two cells of the life, is left empty on the other side. And she keeps dreaming about someone, looking at the free man in the fast boat on the river outside the limits, with her head in the clouds…

The series In a museum, or it’s first picture – With the head in the clouds – was successful in several competitions. It won the first place at the regional round of the AMFO national photography competition, the prize of the Slovak photographer’s union within the K91 photography club competition, and it was chosen as one of the final 12 pictures (out of several thousands) for the Slovak and Czech version of the Nikon 2018 calendar.
